Torben Jørgensen, Chairman
Torben is President and CEO of Biotage. Prior to that Torben Jørgensen was the CEO of the Molecular Imaging company Affibody for four years, before he held similar positions at Karo Bio and the Danish diagnostic company, DAKO. Torben Jørgensen was born in 1952, and has a degree from Copenhagen Business School.
Christer Ljungberg, Vice Chairman
Christer has a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and is CEO of Novogon AB. He has worked as CEO and served as chairman and member of the boards of several venture capital, technology, med-tech and media companies - listed and private. Christer has been an investor in a number companies and made his first investment in Micropos Medical AB in 2005.
Bo Lennernäs (MD, PhD) is an associate professor University of Gothenburg. He has been working as a senior consultant at Sahlgrenska and Karolinska University Hospital. He is one of the nation's leading oncologists in prostate cancer and radiation treatment. Prior to medical school he worked as a computer and electronics developers at Scanditronix (manufacturers of radiotherapy equipment to clinics and CERN). Already in his thesis in the 90s, he described the basics of electromagnetic positioning, which has inspired Micropos technology. He is now working with GPS systems for radiotherapy at Micropos Medical, but he also has developed other pharmaceutical and medical innovations such as Abstral®, Liproca®, DrugLog and IMCON. His scientific production (approximately 60 papers) ranging from drug discovery to the use of humanoids in healthcare. He holds more than 10 patents primarily in medical technology.
Olof is CEO of RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and also spent 2 years at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) in Zürich. He has more than 10 years of experience from Medical Device industry, mainly within radiation therapy from different positions at Elekta, the world's second largest company in the field of radiation therapy. At Elekta he has held positions in Business Development, Sales, Service and Marketing, last he held the position as Excecutive Vice President for one of Elekta's regions containing Europe, Africa, Latin America and Middle East. Prior to that Olof worked with the Swedish Trade Council as Trade Commisionaire to Germany supporting the establishement of Swedish companies in Germany and across Europe. Before that he worked at the Boston Consulting Group in Munich and Stockholm.
Tomas Gustafsson, CEO
CEO since the start of Micropos Medical in 2003. He has an education from mechanical engineering at Chalmers University of Technology and in company creation from the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship. Co-founder of venture capital financed company within mobile marketing. Has a background from the Swedish national team in telemark skiing and is now active in 505 dinghy sailing.
